This machine is one of the best and easiest machines to operate. I usuallly just turn on and go it is pretty easily ground balanced and don't seem to pick up hot rock as everybody elses seems to do. I have not found any gold nuggets as of yet but I have found a lot of coins and bullets out in the desert. I am pretty limited to how far I can walk so I do not get to use it as often as I would like. The only problem I have with this unit was it is extremely heavy so I purchased one of the new lighter versions which make carry and swinging it a lot better. The new batteries seem to be alot better also I had to purchase a swingy thing to help me with using the unit. I hunt mostly in Arizona around Dolan Skprings in the Gold Basin area. I have used this machine at Stanton Az on a push they had last year and I did not seem to have any problems with interfearance of outer units . I nover found anything but pieces of the blade broken off the dozer. I know a buddy who wished he had a machine like mine and ID don't think I will ever get rid of it I think it will be even great for my grand children to use because I think this machine is as good now as the later models can ever be. I think I am the only persone with this detector in the GPAA club here in las Vegas. A lot of people have gone over the machine I have and they seen to like it but most can't afford the cost of this machine however I always figure you get what you pay for. I took my machine to the mine lab company here in vegas and they looke over overything and checked it out and said all is fine and evey took the time to take me outside on their lawn and gave me some pointers. I don't know of may place you can go to and get that kind of service and professionalism. It seem to me that if you want a really fine detctor and can afford this machine it would be the one I recommend you purchase.
