I find the Minelab Quattro MP to be a deep seeking machine with great ID capabilities. However, in the trash filled areas or iron infested areas it just doesn't perform it has a very slow recovery rate. I have hunted side by side with whites E series users and they have pulled coins and buttons in the cornfields littered with old iron trash where I couldn't even get a threshold. When switching to all metal couldn't ID a coin tone just constant varying tones and sporadic ID readings.

I have been a metal detectorist for a year now and upgraded to a Minelab Quattro MP. I liked it so much that I upgraded to a SEF butterfly coil and have found coins at over a foot deep! This is a silver magnet which is pretty simple to use, because without reading the manual I took it out in the backyard and found a silver quarter! The face is worn off at over a foot when the backyard has been searched many times before. This machine is very sensitive to small things and it always keeps me company.
